Problem-Solving Skills & Root Cause Analysis Training
The objective of this training is to develop the problem-solving skills of professionals responsible for eliminating nonconformities arising in product quality and food safety management systems and ensuring that these problems do not recur.
The training consists of two main sections. The first section focuses on “Technical Knowledge”, one of the key components of problem-solving competency. In addition to methods commonly used in Root Cause Analysis and recommended by global food safety standards, such as Cause-and-Effect Analysis and Five Whys Analysis, this section covers Pareto Analysis, Process Capability Analysis, and Histogram Analysis for addressing nonconformities that require analytical approaches. Participants will learn how to perform effective analyses using “MS Excel”, a widely available software application. Practical workshops will be conducted, and ready-to-use templates will be shared with participants. This section also explains how “Human Errors” in industrial environments should be evaluated from different perspectives without preconceived assumptions or biases. Best practices will be shared to guide participants in developing permanent solutions by addressing the root causes of such nonconformities.
The second section focuses on the other components of Problem-Solving Competency: Contextual Awareness, Critical Thinking Skills, Decisiveness, and Social Skills. Unlike many problem-solving and root cause analysis training programs that focus “solely” on methods and tools, this training also considers the “context” of problems encountered in professional environments. It incorporates the social skills and other competency areas required to achieve the desired results effectively.
